The Training Programme Director for Forensic Psychiatry at NHS England in Leicester is responsible for coordinating training across the region in alignment with national standards set by applicable Royal Colleges, the GMC, and NHS-E WT&E. Candidates should currently hold a consultant or SAS doctor position within the East Midlands and possess significant experience in educational contexts, working with learners or doctors in training. The role requires the successful applicant to continue clinical practice while overseeing the development of high-quality patient care and professional development among doctors, collaborating closely with the Head of School and other stakeholders.

This position is a secondment for an initial three-year period, with the possibility of extending for another three years, contingent upon satisfactory annual appraisal. Applicants must secure written consent from their current Trust or Practice to be released for the necessary time commitment. The role emphasises the commitment to delivering high-quality postgraduate medical education and fostering a medical workforce dedicated to excellence in patient-centered care.
