Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated clinician for the role of Liaison Psychiatry Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) or a qualified ACP at Dorchester County Hospital. The successful candidate will join a dedicated multidisciplinary team that provides a 24/7 mental health service in the acute general hospital setting. Responsibilities include assessing and managing patients (aged 18 and over) with mental health issues, self-harm, or psychiatric crises, as well as supporting families and making recommendations for care. The role demands advanced clinical skills, critical analysis, and strong decision-making abilities while fostering collaborative relationships with acute hospital colleagues to enhance mental health understanding and reduce stigma.

This is a permanent position contingent upon securing a university placement for those pursuing the trainee pathway. The team is committed to professional development, offering regular supervision and educational opportunities. Candidates must be willing to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
