The Deputy Head of Audiology at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Luton will be responsible for supporting the managerial and leadership functions of the Audiology service across multiple sites, including Bedford and Luton & Dunstable. The role requires advanced knowledge and clinical skills in audiology, with a focus on service delivery, evaluation, monitoring, and development of staff. Key responsibilities include overseeing the Audiology budget, leading quality and governance initiatives, and managing line reports within the Luton-based team, including addressing performance and health-related issues.

The ideal candidate will have significant practical experience and M-level or higher theoretical knowledge in audiology. They will play a crucial role in performance management, handling disciplinary actions, and participating in the recruitment process for new staff. The position emphasises the importance of maintaining high standards in governance and quality across the Audiology services provided by the trust.
