The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a Research Governance Manager to join its Research Management and Support team in Wakefield. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring compliance with national and local standards in clinical research, including trials involving investigational medicinal products and data/tissue-based studies. The manager will oversee study-specific processes, monitor compliance, and provide expert guidance to researchers. They will work closely with leadership to implement the Trust's Research and Innovation Strategy, support partnerships with external organisations, and promote engagement in research activities among staff and service users.

Key responsibilities include managing research governance functions, maintaining effective communication among researchers, and leading a team while fostering staff development. The position also involves collaborating on financial processes related to research activities, ensuring accurate costing, and negotiating contracts. The successful candidate will engage with local and national research policies, contribute to the development of the Trust's research portfolio, and act as a representative in regional and national forums.
