The University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a motivated and dedicated Staff Nurse for its Paediatrics Cardiology unit, located in Southampton Children's Hospital. The position is available on the E1 Ocean Ward, a specialized 16-bed regional cardiac unit for children aged birth to 18, including those requiring cardiac surgery and support for various cardiac conditions.

Key responsibilities include providing high-quality, individualized nursing care, effective communication within a multi-disciplinary team, and maintaining accurate patient records. Candidates should possess relevant qualifications, demonstrate ongoing professional development, and have good communication skills. Mentorship experience and flexibility to work various shifts are essential. While previous experience in a paediatric setting is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Southampton Children's Hospital is looking for highly motivated, dedicated registered nurses to join our friendly, supportive nursing team on E1 Ocean Ward, a highly specialised regional paediatric cardiac ward.

E1 is a 16 bedded regional cardiac unit with 4 High Dependency Cardiac beds . The ward cares for children from birth to 18 as well as supporting their families/carers with a range of cardiac medical conditions and those requiring cardiac surgery.

E1 accepts tertiary referrals from across the Thames and Wessex network.

The ward have an excellent educational team and a full educational programme is available to develop your clinical experience with the opportunity to obtain specific cardiac skills to develop your career further.
