The Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to join the Erdington and Kingstanding Home Treatment Team, which provides intensive community support to individuals aged 16 and above experiencing mental health crises. The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment, focusing on crisis management and short-term interventions. Candidates should have substantial post-qualification experience, ideally in acute or urgent care settings, and will be expected to work on a shift basis, including nights.

Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based care for designated service users, as well as participating in setting and monitoring quality standards in line with clinical guidelines. The nurse will also need to adhere to professional responsibilities under the Care Programme Approach, safeguard legislation, and the Mental Health Act 1983. Establishing therapeutic relationships and implementing appropriate interventions while maintaining professional boundaries is essential.
