CLINICAL DECISION UNIT EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT MENTAL HEALTH NHS ON-CALL
The Emergency Department at Southport & Ormskirk is seeking to recruit two full-time Consultants in Emergency Medicine as part of a team expansion. These 10 PA positions, with the potential for additional PAs, are tailored for enthusiastic candidates looking to join a motivated and forward-thinking team that sees approximately 50,000 patients annually. The recently refurbished department features advanced facilities including a state-of-the-art resuscitation room and dedicated mental health areas, and emphasises innovative care pathways like ambulatory emergency care. The role involves participating in the on-call rota, undertaking weekly sessions in the Paediatric ED, and contributing to educational initiatives within the department.

Candidates must be on the GMC Specialist Register or close to obtaining their CCT/CESR by the interview date, which is set for March 17, 2024. The trust promotes work-life balance, offers relocation support, and values professional development through educational involvement, including simulation training. Collaborations with the Paediatric ED and active participation in the Mersey and Cheshire trauma network further enhance the department's supportive and dynamic environment.
