The States of Guernsey is seeking a Senior Staff Nurse for its Prison Services, responsible for delivering high-quality primary health care in a challenging forensic environment. The role involves working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to manage and coordinate patient care for individuals with varying health needs, including complex and emergency situations. The Senior Staff Nurse will act as a mentor for junior staff, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, while fostering a supportive and non-judgmental approach to service users.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Senior Staff Nurse will engage in leadership and planning activities, promoting teamwork, communicating effectively, and advocating for patients' rights and needs. This position requires a proactive approach to service development, maintaining professional standards, and contributing to the educational and training needs of the healthcare team.
