The Specialty Doctor role in Paediatrics and Neonates at Lincoln County Hospital, part of the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, involves working within a team of junior doctors on a designated 12-person tier 2 rota. This full-time, permanent position focuses primarily on the Neonatal Unit at Pilgrim Hospital, providing the opportunity to gain extensive experience in general and neonatal paediatrics over a 12-month fixed term, with the possibility of extension. The successful applicant will participate in weekly meetings and teaching sessions, as well as regular audit meetings in collaboration with the Accident and Emergency Department and Obstetricians.

The Department of Paediatrics and Child Health encompasses a range of facilities, including a 24-bedded acute inpatient unit and various assessment and outpatient units at Lincoln and Pilgrim Hospitals. The role supports a multidisciplinary environment with access to specialty consultants in nephrology, endocrinology, and cardiology, further enhancing the opportunities for professional development and comprehensive pediatric care.
