We have an exciting opportunity in our busy Operating Theatre Department at York Teaching Hospital, for enthusiastic and well-motivated individuals to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals, as an Operating Department Orderly.
This is a role which will enhance our team and improve the service we can offer to our patients.
The successful candidates will be required to participate in the safe transfer of both patients and equipment, to and from theatres, and will be involved with the routine cleaning and maintenance of specialist theatre equipment to maintain the high standards required for this busy, patient focused environment. This may require some technical skills in order to operate some machinery and equipment.
We are looking for individuals who are reliable, professional and hard working, and have a caring manner with excellent communication and observational skills. Applicants will ideally have previous experience of working with patients in a hospital environment, however this is not essential as full training will be provided.
The vacancy is for full time or part time hours.
We look forward to receiving your application!
A full description of the role is available in the attachment: job description.
Please note that if a high number of applications are received this advert may close early. You are advised to submit your application at the earliest opportunity.
