DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOUR THERAPY MENTAL HEALTH MULTI-DISCIPLINARY NHS
Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist for a part-time role (0.60 WTE) within the adult community psychological services in Mid Essex, particularly in Braintree. The position is open to newly qualified applicants, with the potential to progress from band 7 to 8A after a successful probation period. The ideal candidate should be interested in developing skills in specific psychological interventions, particularly Dialectical Behaviour Therapy or Schema Therapy, and will receive funded training opportunities after six months on the job, with an expected commitment to stay for a minimum of three years.

The role involves working within multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to provide psychological interventions to clients with complex and severe mental health needs, contributing to treatment planning and the management of specialist programs. Candidates must possess strong assessment and intervention skills, experience in handling high-risk situations, and the ability to build collaborative relationships with a diverse team of professionals. Experience with clients experiencing severe emotional dysregulation and trauma is essential.
