The Administration Clerk at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust will provide essential daily administrative support to the Ophthalmology Service. Responsibilities include managing patient and family communications, processing clinical correspondence, and performing general office tasks such as handling clinic cash, managing email inquiries, and updating information in the Meditech system. The role requires a flexible approach to meet service needs and involves liaising with both clinical and non-clinical staff professionally.

The successful candidate will address inquiries from patients, parents, and the public, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism. They will also communicate with clinicians regarding patient queries, contribute to departmental meetings, and take appropriate action on clinical correspondence. A key part of the role is to maintain effective relationships within the team and support the efficient operation of the service.
