The role of the Consultant Think Ahead Social Worker at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust in Hitchin involves joining the Adult Community Mental Health Services Team to deliver high-quality care for adults with mental health issues. The Consultant will oversee a unit of six Think Ahead participants, providing exceptional learning experiences and acting as a senior social work practitioner in a multi-disciplinary team. Key responsibilities include managing complex caseloads, ensuring effective social work practice in line with legislation, and fostering professional development among participants through supervision and performance assessments.

Additionally, the Consultant Social Worker will engage in operational planning and service development, advocate for social work within the team, and monitor patient progress while addressing their individual needs.
