Southend University Hospital is looking for a Band 6 physiotherapist to join our Early Rehabilitation and Nursing Team.
We are seeking to appoint a motivated band 6 Physiotherapist. You will have responsibility for your own case load, working without direct supervision. You will be confident in all aspects of clinical duties and implementing individual treatment plans. Access to advice and support from senior staff will always be available if required.
This role is a community based role caring for patients who have undergone lower limb joint replacement surgery and also patients who have sustained fractures of the pelvis and hips.
This post would suit a newly qualified or qualifying physiotherapist who is seeking to commence their career in a friendly and supportive environment.
The band 5 physiotherapist will have responsibility for assessing and treating their own caseload of patients and maintaining the associated records. As an autonomous practitioner they will be responsible for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type, delegating as appropriate to support workers.
Regular supervision is provided by experienced band 6 and 7 therapists and takes the form of formal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peer review, caseload discussion and formal clinical supervision sessions. The structure of the therapy teams at Southend ensures that there is always access to advice and support from a senior therapist. The team is managed by a senior nurse who will support the day to day.
The band 6 physiotherapist role with in this team does not involve on calls or weekend. the role is Monday to Friday.
