This is a temporary Nurse role at Abbey Court Care Home in Heath Hayes, Cannock, working as part of the Avery Healthcare team. The role involves providing high-quality care to residents, including medication management, dressings, and supervising the care team. The successful candidate will have strong nursing skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a compassionate approach.

As a Registered Nurse at Abbey Court Care Home, you will act as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required. Your focus will be on ensuring high standards of care for our residents, including undertaking nursing tasks such as medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, and management of chronic conditions. You will also be responsible for advising families and GPs of any changes in resident condition, as well as effectively deploying and supervising the care team.

  • Responsibilityfor the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
  • Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.

  • Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.

  • Have sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.
