The Group Volunteer Services Coordinator at Northampton General Hospital (part of University Hospitals of Northamptonshire) is responsible for enhancing the volunteer services across both Northampton General Hospital and Kettering General Hospital. Key roles include:

- Increasing the number of volunteers through effective marketing, recruitment, and retention strategies.
- Coordinating volunteer programs and training opportunities to meet the needs of the Trust.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to promote and expand volunteer roles.
- Communicating effectively and sensitively with volunteers, patients, and staff to ensure the smooth operation of volunteer services.
- Planning and organizing activities to meet complex operational demands.
- Managing a caseload of over 100 volunteers, ensuring accurate data management and reporting.
- Supporting volunteer wellbeing and retention through regular communication and relationship-building.
- Delivering training compliant with NHS standards and conducting quarterly reviews with volunteers.

Flexibility in working hours is required, including occasional evenings and weekends. The role emphasises effective service delivery, communication, and the strategic growth of the volunteer program to enhance both patient and staff experience.
