The Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for the position of Senior Clinical Fellow in General Surgery at the Royal Bolton Hospital, which serves a catchment area of approximately 320,000 residents. This role requires candidates to have significant experience in both emergency and elective general surgery, as well as full registration with the General Medical Council and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons or equivalent qualifications. The successful applicant will engage in various responsibilities including ward duties, outpatient clinics, operating theatre sessions, surgical acute referral clinics, and participate in the on-call rota while also supporting junior doctors.

The position entails a fixed basic salary of £55,329, with additional pay for out-of-hours work. The fellow will work 40 hours per week in a flexible scheduling format to align with departmental needs, including potential rotations between Upper GI and Colorectal surgery specialties. Team collaboration and the ability to work effectively within the department are essential.
