The Whittington Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Paediatric ED Senior Staff Nurse/Junior Sister (Band 6) to join their team in London. This role involves assessing and prioritizing the needs of children upon arrival to the emergency department, planning and implementing individualized care plans, and supervising junior staff and students. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care, effective communication with healthcare colleagues, and ensuring safe and accurate medication administration according to guidelines. Additionally, they will provide support to patients and families, assist in identifying child protection concerns, and contribute to maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for paediatric patients.

In this full-time or part-time permanent position, the Trust emphasises staff development and wellbeing, offering various training opportunities, including advanced paediatric life support (APLS) and leadership courses. The role also includes managerial responsibilities, such as mentoring junior staff, managing departmental workflows, and participating in quality initiatives and audits to enhance nursing practices.
