The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Trust Wide Safeguarding Children Professional to join its Safeguarding & Vulnerable People Team. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse with supervisory experience, possessing a strong understanding of safeguarding children and adults. They will play a crucial role in promoting a "Think Family" approach, working collaboratively with internal and external partners to ensure effective safeguarding measures are in place, delivering training, and providing expert advice on safeguarding matters.

In this leadership role, the professional will facilitate communication between staff, the Safeguarding Team, and external agencies, participate in multi-agency meetings, and engage in quality assurance processes related to safeguarding practices. Responsibilities also include assessing risks, advising clinicians on safeguarding and domestic violence issues, and contributing to the development of Child Safeguarding and Learning Reviews.
