Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist or Mental Health Practitioner for their specialist Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery teams in Taunton. The role, which operates at Band 7 with potential for a preceptorship to Band 8A, involves providing compassionate and trauma-informed care to individuals with complex physical and psychological needs. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, formulating treatment plans, and delivering both individual and group therapy, including participation in groups focused on understanding eating habits and addressing self-esteem issues.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with patients seeking bariatric surgery, contributing to their pre-operative education and long-term support.
