Band 4: £26,530 to £29,114 a year per annum  PERMANENT 

To assist clinicians and other health professionals research, collate, analyse and prepare data from a variety of hospital information's sources for clinical audit, outcomes and service evaluation and generally contribute to the promotion of clinical effectiveness within the Trust.

Ensure that clinical audit projects meet criteria set out in Principles for Best Practice in Clinical Audit (NICE, 2002), with audit cycles completed to assess whether improvements in clinical care have been sustained.

Deputise for the Clinical Effectiveness Manager to deliver clinical audit, outcomes, serviceevaluation training to clinical and non-clinical staff in the Trust. Provide feedback on clinical effectiveness activities through committee, publication and training sessions.

The post holder will provide support to the Clinical Effectiveness Assistants ensuring tasks are prioritised and deadlines are met.

Assist in the process for managing NICE guidance and relevant NCEPOD studies within the Trust in association with the Audit Programme, providing support to the Clinical Effectiveness Manager.

Ensure the provision of accurate and timely data to National registries such as; Spine Tango, BSR, TARN, ICNARC and NNAP, providing regular status reports to the Clinical Effectiveness Managers.

Oversee the management of local and national clinical audit, outcome and service evaluation projects.

To assist with data collection, data analysis, reporting and presentation of audit, outcome and service evaluation projects.

To ensure project deadlines are met and document management processes are adhered to.

Triangulate audit results, outcomes etc to support the production of annual audit plans for the division, in line with Trust policies.

Deliver training sessions relating to clinical audit, outcomes, service evaluation and overall quality improvement to all staff within the Trust.

Provide specialist advice, support and guidance to all staff in relation to clinical audit, outcomes, service evaluation and quality improvement.
