The Rapid Response Team deliver care to a diverse patient group, the team is an integrated mix of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapist, Assistant Practitioners and Therapy Assistants. The Rapid Response Team at Warrington and Halton Hospitals is delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a suitably qualified Band 6 or 7 Occupational Therapist with excellent communication and leadership skills and a desire to work with patients in an acute care setting to join our service. The successful candidate will be a confident leader with experience working within a fast paced and dynamic clinical environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for a personal clinical caseload of complex patients both in the Emergency Department and inpatient wards. The post will also provide clinical support and supervision to the wider integrated team of Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants.

The post entails day to day clinical management of patients across both the Emergency Department, Frailty Assessment Unit and in patient areas as well as supervision, training and support to both Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy Assistants of varying grades. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team and flow management within the trust the successful candidate will be required to support the team lead in response to trust pressures and strategic objectives.

We have a diverse team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy Assistants to support in the delivery of therapy at Warrington Hospital. The post will involve providing therapy assessments and interventions for a diverse patient group. Experience in Frailty, Inpatient Care and Discharge Planning is essential for the post.

The working hours for this post will be 30 hours per week - over 4 working days which will include a 7-day working contract and weekend rota commitment.
