We are looking for a Band 6 nurse to join one of our Community Nursing teams based in UnitG (Maidstone), to support the development of this service. The service operates seven days aweek from 08:00 - 16:00, with occasional late shifts of 10:00 - 18:00 on a rotational basis.Weekend working is generally on a 1:4 ratio with days off during the week.
The team support patients registered with GP practices working in the Maidstone town and outlying villages within the Primary Care Networks.Each team has two senior nurses to take responsibility for a defined geographical area, andprovide clinical leadership to their Band 5, Band 4 and Band 3 staff. The team will worktogether to manage caseload patients delivering a high-quality service.
Candidates will be expected to be experienced nurses with relevant transferrable clinical skills.
Preference will be given to those who hold the District Nurse qualification, however candidates wanting to move to a community setting with advanced clinical skills or expertisewill be considered. KCHFT is keen to support development and therefore, candidates withoutthe specialist qualification or having a recognised advanced clinical skills/module will beconsidered for trainee posts.
Staff will be required to drive their own car and are able to claim mileage costs and access the NHS car lease provision, following their probationary period.
