Come and join us to learn and develop your skills and knowledge towards being an experienced neonatal transport nurse, caring for a range of sick neonates who require transfer across the London area and beyond. This career path will allow you to develop your portfolio, experience working within a small team setting, stabilising and transferring some of the sickest babies across London and the wider counties.
You will also have exposure to the operational aspects of running a transport service, and delivering education/ outreach learning to not only our service users but also the NTS team. Youwill also become established on the single-clinician led High/low dependency transfer team.
If successful you would be welcomed into a friendly team consisting of 3 Neonatal Consultants, specialist registrars/clinical fellows, Matron; PDN; ANNP's and experienced transport nurses. These team members are complemented by technicians from St John Ambulance Service.
A full induction process is provided with competencies surrounding the transport situation and equipment. Shifts include rotation between dual and single clinician teams, days, including a twilight team, nights and weekends. There is also the opportunity to train to become flight competent, (currently privately provided). Full and part time options can be discussed.
