The post holder will be responsible for assessment, treatment planning and intervention delivery of patients referred to their caseload. The post holder will be required to supervise junior staff, technicians, assistants and students as appropriate. They will be expected to participate in development and monitoring of service standards and to assist in the running of the day to day service.
An opportunity has arisen to join the Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals Trust Band 5 Occupational Therapy rotation. You will be joining a well established therapy department with a choice of rotations in medicine, surgery, care of the elderly, orthopaedics and stroke, with additional opportunities with non stroke neuro. There is also potential to expand the rotation further to include renal, frailty and community posts.
Our Occupational Therapists works closely with physiotherapy, as well as the extended multi-disciplinary team and in collaboration with community partners. The Trust is progressing with its discharge to assess pathway and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape future services.
We have a strong focus on staff support and development, encouraging opportunities for further learning.
Developments are also underway for a new emergency hospital site, based in Sutton, which will bring further opportunities to extend the rotation choice.
