The role of "Biomedical Scientist/Trainee - Histology" at Maidstone Hospital with Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust involves working in a well-equipped Histology department that handles a significant annual workload of approximately 88,000 cases and includes specialized investigations and immunocytochemistry testing. The position is open to HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists, as well as candidates without registration who hold a relevant Biomedical Sciences degree. Ideal applicants will be motivated, possess strong communication skills, and have good attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.

As part of the Kent and Medway Pathology Network, the successful candidate will collaborate with multiple laboratories and service providers while primarily working within the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust facilities. The department encourages career development and participation in continuous professional development (CPD). Candidates should prepare to complete a corporate trust induction following a successful application and will undergo a standard-level Disclosure & Barring Service Check.
