Highcliffe Medical Centre in Christchurch is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join their team for three days a week, specifically on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. The role involves providing care through face-to-face appointments, telephone triage, and home visits, while working autonomously within the practitioner's professional scope. Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, performing specialist assessments, coordinating care, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians.

The Nurse Practitioner will also engage in health improvement initiatives, manage health screening programs, and contribute to the training and development of staff and students. Essential duties include maintaining accurate patient records, adhering to confidentiality and safety protocols, and participating in the overall operation of the practice. The ideal candidate will be skilled in clinical nursing practices, demonstrate leadership in a collaborative environment, and be committed to ongoing personal and professional development.
