Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust is offering a position for a Specialist Occupational Therapist within the Children's Neurodevelopmental Service in Norwich. The role involves assessing and supporting children and young people aged 0-18 who are undergoing diagnostic assessments for potential Autism and/or ADHD. As a vital member of a multidisciplinary team, the Specialist Occupational Therapist will utilize expert knowledge of neurodevelopmental conditions to deliver comprehensive assessments and contribute to diagnostic decisions. This includes employing a range of assessment techniques, compiling detailed clinical reports, and providing advice and recommendations to families and other healthcare professionals.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the post holder will engage in professional development, contribute to service improvement, and provide supervision and training to colleagues and students. The role requires maintaining compliance with professional standards, participating in research and audits, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, complex decision-making abilities, and a passion for supporting children and families with neurodevelopmental differences.
