The East and North Herts NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (Rotational) for its Therapy Service in Stevenage, specifically at the Lister Hospital. This role involves rotating through various clinical areas, including Stroke Rehabilitation, Acute Assessment, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, and Elderly Care, with each rotation lasting 4.5 months. The position offers opportunities for professional growth within a supportive team environment, emphasizing the importance of sound clinical reasoning, communication skills, and teamwork. As an autonomous practitioner, the Occupational Therapist will assess and treat a diverse caseload of patients, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities also include conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' occupational performance, undertaking home visits to evaluate their functioning in a familiar environment, and working with patients and their families on further care.
