The post holder will be an active participant in the New Hospitals Programme, playing a key role as a clinical leader in the Programme and as part of the workstream's Senior Leadership Team.
As part of the Senior Leadership Team (Clinical Director, Deputy Clinical Director and Assistant Clinical Director/s) the post holder will develop an ongoing program of work to address the patient safety, patient and professional experience and operational elements of the overall program, this will include aspects such as developing a tool kit for CQC registration.
The post holder will assist the Clinical Director, Deputy Clinical Director and SRO on all clinical matters related to the programme and deputise for the Clinical Director or Deputy where required.
Develop relationships with key leaders (Chief Nurses and Medical Directors as a minimum) within the hospitals that are part of the programme and ensure this clinical voice is current and heard throughout the New Hospitals Programme
Work with the wider team to create evidence-based design of new hospitals. Work with the Clinical workstream members to set about answering any areas that are not understood with research learning from the continuous work of the program capturing the voice of the Patient, Public and professional groups.
Assist the Clinical Director in the design and build of a robust clinical review for the elements above which will include (not exhaustive list)
Clinical output specifications
Assurance of Clinical Business cases
Review of clinical strategies
Clinical benefits review framework
Ongoing evaluation of physical / clinical / operational / equipment strengths and weaknesses of designs
Assist the Clinical Director in the design and build of a team of subject matter experts, which has flexibility and relevance for the life of the programme.
