The Assistant Directorate Manager - Paediatrics at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust will collaborate closely with the Directorate Manager, Deputy Directorate Manager, Associate Directorate Manager, and Clinical Director to enhance the responsiveness and quality of Paediatric and Neonatal services. Key responsibilities include financial and operational management, problem-solving, and implementing innovative solutions to meet performance targets. The role demands effective communication within the multi-disciplinary team and external partners, as well as strong change, people, and project management skills to support the Directorate’s objectives.

The successful candidate will provide management support for the paediatric service, monitor performance management systems, and analyze data to improve service delivery. Additionally, the role involves participating in service reviews, supporting KPI management, and supervising Paediatric Administration coordinators. The Assistant Directorate Manager will also play a crucial role in recruitment efforts, manage staff performance against access targets, and assist in addressing staffing issues, thereby ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
