The role of "MHST Senior Clinician" with Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust in Peterborough involves joining new Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) set to launch in January 2025. The successful candidate will play a crucial managerial and supervisory role while engaging in direct clinical work within schools and colleges, supporting students and their families facing mild to moderate mental health challenges. Responsibilities include supervising Educational Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs), delivering evidence-based interventions like CBT, assessing young people's mental health needs, and developing training packages for educators and caregivers.

Candidates should be experienced mental health professionals with a background in child and adolescent services, eager to contribute to early intervention initiatives and improve access to mental health support for young people. The position is part of a collaborative effort to enhance mental health care following the 2017 Green Paper and is nested within a supportive network of existing MHSTs in the region.
