Community Inpatient Unit provides Rehabilitation, Re-ablement and recovery interventions for adults in North East Lincolnshire. The service will promote faster recovery from illness, prevent unnecessary acute hospital admissions and premature admissions to long-term care, support timely discharge from hospital and maximise independent living wherever possible. Multi-professional staff will collaborate with individuals to ensure they achieve their full potential in terms of their level of independence, health, and wellbeing.

Salary Range 2 £20,702 (under 21) - £22,370 (21 and over) pro rata per annum you will be appointed on a fixed salary point (New Salary Range 2 £21,841 (under 21) - £23,600 (21 and over) Including 5.5% Pay award).
We are looking for a cook to join are established Kitchen team based at Community inpatient unit. The post holder will work independently to provide, nutritional, palatable and well-balanced meals following an agreed menu ensuring Food Hygiene and Infection Control regulations are adhered to.
The post holder will provide supervision and direction to catering assistants in the safe running of the kitchen during each shift.
Duties will include planning of menus to make choices available, taking into account any special dietary requirements; ordering and safe storage of stock and stock rotation. You will also be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of all utensils, equipment, work surfaces and kitchen areas at all times and in compliance with the Safer Food Better Business Food Management System.
You must hold a Food Hygiene Certificate and a Level 2 Production Chef / equivalent or willingness to undertake. You will have experience of providing catering services in a similar setting and of menu planning and portion control.
You must be able to work flexibly as part of a rota including working weekends and bank holidays.
