The "Assistant Psychologist Crisis Care Service" position at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool involves supporting the psychological care of children, young people, and families within a Community Mental Health and CAMHS team. The role is under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist and is classified as Agenda for Change Band 4.

Key responsibilities include conducting protocol-based psychological assessments, assisting in the delivery of care plans, coordinating therapeutic groups, and participating in multi-disciplinary reviews. The post holder will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, contribute to clinical meetings, and maintain clinical documentation.

Additional duties involve assisting in training other staff, engaging in audit and research projects, developing skills in psychometric testing, and managing resources effectively. Regular clinical supervision will be provided, and the role requires the maintenance of professionalism in potentially emotive situations. Competence in basic IT skills, such as Microsoft Word, is also necessary for reporting and service development tasks.
