Responsibilities include undertaking pharmaceutical duties under supervision, enhancing patient care through efficient medicines optimisation, performing medicines reconciliation, and advising patients. Additionally, the technician will assist in the day-to-day operations of the dispensary, ensuring compliance with current policies and Good Distribution Practices. The role welcomes applicants from all sectors, including those with previous experience in other pharmacy environments.

Within this role the main duties will include working in one or more of the following areas:
- Ward based clinical services (including but not limited to admissions, surgery, cardiology, respiratory, gastroenterology, care of the elderly)
- Dispensary services if service requires

About us
Undertake general pharmaceutical duties under the supervision of a Section Manager or deputy, assisting in the provision of a safe and effective Pharmacy service in line with current policies, procedures and legal requirements.
Work within patient services undertaking medicines optimisation/discharge duties on the wards, improving the quality of care to patients in a clinical area by means of an efficient medicines optimisation system. This will include undertaking medicines reconciliation, assessing patients own medicines ensuring they are suitable for use in hospital, maintaining and ordering non-stock medicines for patients and counselling patients on use of their medicines and provide information where required
Work in the dispensary final accuracy checking prescriptions and provide support to the dispensary manager and lead technician in the co-ordination of the day to day running of the dispensary
