Were looking for an Advanced SALT to join our team at The Harley Street Clinic currently rated Outstanding by the CQC.
You will support the highly specialist speech and language therapy service to adults who present with a range of complex swallowing and communication difficulties. To provide highly specialist assessment, diagnosis and intervention to inpatients and outpatients including intensive care, oncology, head and neck radiotherapy and surgical patients. There is opportunity to develop competencies in FEES and VFSS with training and supervision supported.

Job Description
To provide specialist services to adult patients with swallowing, voice, communication and cognitive disorders within The Harley Street Clinic, LOC, Princess Grace Hospital and the private HCA ward at UCLH.
To work closely with Speech and Language Therapy colleagues across the HCA SLT Acute Network to establish and promote the delivery of high quality treatment, including implementing quality initiatives and quality assurance methods.
To work as an effective team member of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary teams as required.
To provide highly specialist speech and language therapy service to Oncology outpatients including maxillofacial, and ENT surgery and head and neck radiotherapy
To assess and treat communication, cognitive and or swallowing problems, and independently manage a caseload.
To maintain accurate, up-to-date and concise treatment records detailing the individual patients treatment plan and progress.
To work closely with the interdisciplinary teams to ensure that an agreed care plan and patient centred goals are set and that the outcome of intervention is monitored.
To write reports and insurance requests reflecting highly specialist knowledge.
To be flexible to the demands of environment including work patterns, deadlines and interruptions.
To adhere to infections control and health and safety guidelines.
To ensure 100% compliance with mandatory training.
To maintain clinical records in in accordance with HCA policy and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapy standards and HCPC Guidelines.
Observe GDPR guidelines on the sharing of information.
To gather and update accurate billing and activity records and provide information as required by the company.
To represent the team in MDT systems of clinical governance.
To work within the Rules of Professional Conduct of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and to be aware of the standards of practice
