An exciting opportunity exists for a Specialty Doctor to join the Genomic Medicine Service in Manchester. The 5PA appointment will be based within the Manchester Centre for Genomic Medicine at St Mary's Hospital on the Oxford Road Campus. The post will include supporting the Clinical team across the department and delivering clinical management clinics within the Neurofibromatosis type 1 and Huntington Disease teams.
The appointee will contribute to the delivery of genetic services based at St Mary's Hospital and the Clinical Research Facility, at the Manchester Royal Infirmary. This will include the Huntington's Disease Management clinic and the Neurofibromatosis type 1 service. Core aspects of the role include seeing cases in clinic (which can be offered as a blended approach of face to face, video and telephone consultations), providing advice to GPs and other colleagues and participation in multidisciplinary meetings. Further roles within the department can be developed, depending on the post holder's clinical experience and interests.
