Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Advanced Practitioner Ultrasonographer to join their busy and friendly team. This position offers a diverse range of cases across six Liverpool sites, with an emphasis on a multidisciplinary approach to acute patient management and diagnosis. The role involves performing various ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, gynaecological, vascular, musculoskeletal, and small parts, while candidates are expected to manage their own list, handle demand, and participate in training. Notably, obstetric ultrasound is not performed at this trust.

As part of a university teaching hospital, the successful applicant will engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and have opportunities to mentor trainees and newly qualified staff, fostering their transition into advanced practice. The department actively encourages the exploration of new techniques and special interests, with regular CPD sessions and involvement in training specialist registrars in diagnostic ultrasound. Candidates will be responsible for maintaining high standards in ultrasonography, issuing diagnostic reports, and contributing to the education and development of future sonographers.
