The Nurse Consultant - Reducing Restrictive Practices position at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool seeks a resilient leader with substantial experience in Secure Services and a strong understanding of the Equality and Human Rights Act. This role requires a proven track record in nursing excellence and clinical innovation, with a focus on driving the Restraint Reduction Programme - No ForceFirst. The successful candidate will work autonomously under the Associate Director of Nursing and Patient Experience to implement transformative solutions, advance the Trust's objectives of reducing restrictive practices, and uphold patients' human rights.

Key responsibilities include serving as the Lead Nurse across the Trust, formulating and evaluating clinical interventions, ensuring compliance with training standards, enhancing service user experiences through feedback mechanisms, and developing nursing policies and protocols. The role emphasises collaboration with service users, carers, and staff to deliver high-quality care and foster a co-production agenda in the context of Offender Health.
