The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is seeking a Clinical Technologist - Surgical Engineering to join their Surgical Engineering Section in Wolverhampton. This role involves providing specialist technical support across various departments, ensuring the safe and effective operation of complex medical equipment, including defibrillators, gas therapy systems, and surgical instruments. The post holder will work autonomously, requiring a high level of skill in maintenance, commissioning, and repair of critical life-support equipment, as well as conducting fabrication work with heavy machinery.

Candidates must show a strong understanding of medical devices and surgical instrumentation, and will also be responsible for training staff in the safe use of equipment. The position requires personal transport and flexibility in working hours, including on-call duties as necessary. The recruitment process includes an in-person interview and practical assessment. The role offers significant training and development opportunities and may involve travel for educational purposes.
