We are looking for a UEC programme manager to work in a dynamic team to help London region deliver it's UEC transformation and improvement agenda. This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering exciting changes to UEC pathways in a high-profile programme for London.
This role will provide the opportunity to work within the Regional Office and across the health and care systems working with a range of stakeholders across ICBs, Provider Organisations, in-region teams, Regional Clinical Advisors and National Leads to influence UEC delivery and outcomes in London.
You would join our team at an important time as we support London systems to tackle some of its most critical challenges and respond to new opportunities in the UEC space.
This will be achieved by:
- Working both strategically to support programme delivery and directly with Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) and providers
- Optimising access to alternative pathways to Emergency Departments, by working with other regional leads on specific work programmes (e.g. UCR, Virtual Wards, Primary Care), ICBs and other key external providers (e.g. Ambulance Trust, and Acute, 111 and UTC providers)
- Setting and delivering the critical path for key UEC programmes in London (e.g. Acute Frailty, Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC))
- Providing leadership and delivery support on other key areas of work such as Urgent Treatment Centres, Streaming and Redirection, ED Acuity, High Intensity User Programme, Acute Medical Pathway etc.
- Supporting the Deputy Director of UEC through management and reporting of progress and delivery of London's UEC strategic plans against national policy ambitions.
About us
The post holder is required to be geographically mobile in the London region. This means the post holder should be able to travel around the region within normal working hours as required to support and participate in site visits and events.
The post holder will be responsible for the programme management, oversight, assurance and delivery of key UEC programmes (e.g. SDEC, Acute Frailty) in London as well as wider support for UEC team objectives.
In order to deliver this role successfully, the candidate should:
- Have the necessary skills and experience in leading and supporting improvement of UEC pathways in local systems
- Have a track record of delivering successful strategic programmes and projects using a structured programme approach
- Establish good working relationships with all senior stakeholders (external and internal) from a range of professional backgrounds to provide support and to deliver change and improvement
- Have experience in building and maintaining governance and reporting structures to provide comprehensive updates (with recommendations for actions where necessary) and programme assurance to all stakeholders
- Provide robust oversight and assurance
- Manage risks and provide collaborative solutions and mitigations to deliver programme objectives
- Utilise data and intelligence and where required collaboration to develop new data sets (and reporting processes) to provide diagnostics
- Undertake impact analysis to support informed decision making on programme delivery
