The Consultant Adolescent Psychiatrist role at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust in Bury is a substantive position focused on providing clinical leadership for the Hope Unit, which serves as an adolescent inpatient service. The successful candidate will oversee comprehensive assessments and short-stay treatments for young patients facing complex mental health issues, ensuring adherence to clinical governance and established protocols. Responsibilities include leading a multidisciplinary team, managing a caseload of inpatient clients, and collaborating with various stakeholders, including CAMHS teams and Local Authorities, to facilitate effective care and discharge planning.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the role entails offering specialist consultation and advice, participating in clinical audits, and contributing to the strategic and operational development of the service. The Consultant will also engage in teaching and training for junior staff and have opportunities to participate in research projects.
