The Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Medical Laboratory Assistants for its Microbiology department. The ideal candidate should be friendly, practical, and interested in science, as they will support the laboratory team in processing various samples using both manual and automated systems. While previous medical laboratory experience is desirable, full training will be provided. The role involves working shifts from 09:00 to 20:00, including weekends and Bank Holidays, with both full-time and part-time positions available.

Candidates should possess good numeracy and literacy skills, be confident with information technology, and are expected to participate in routine bacteriology, serology, and molecular tasks, as well as manage communication with clinical users. Although this position does not lead to a trainee Biomedical Scientist role, it offers a significant opportunity for the successful candidates to become integral members of the Microbiology department following their training.
