Penkridge Medical Practice is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Practice Nurse to join their team in Stafford, requiring a minimum of three years of post-registration nursing experience. Ideal candidates should have experience in standard treatment room duties such as wound care, cytology, childhood immunisations, and travel vaccinations, though applicants transitioning from other nursing fields are also encouraged to apply. Strong communication and organisational skills are crucial, as the nurse will provide comprehensive nursing services that include treatment, screening, advice, and management of chronic conditions, while demonstrating a commitment to clinical governance.

The position entails working 20.5 hours per week, with specific shifts outlined for Tuesday to Friday. Responsibilities include general nursing care, health promotion, disease management, administrative duties, and professional development. The successful applicant will work autonomously but will have support from higher-grade nurses and other healthcare professionals. Qualifications should include an R.G.N First Level Nurse or equivalent, along with a willingness to update skills and participate in ongoing education.
