The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) for the Histology Department at the Royal Derby Hospital.
The role involves working in a fast-paced environment that provides diagnostic services, handling around 50,000 patient sample requests annually.
The MLA will assist with tasks such as data entry, sample handling, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Candidates should have good general education (including English and science), administrative experience, and be IT literate.
Laboratory experience is not required as training will be provided.
The position requires someone enthusiastic, adaptable, and capable of working effectively in a team.
