category B

 Prison located in Leicester.
 

HMP Leicester is a Category B local prison holding men who are on remand as well as sentenced. It has an operational capacity of around 400. The prison is located in the City Centre and is a 15-minute walk from the station.


Hours

Monday - Friday 9-5 (or flexible shifts)


Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £44,992
 
per annum FTE - depending on experience.

As an Occupational Therapist, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Be responsible for the provision of occupational therapy assessment, treatment and evaluation.
  • Provide visible and professional support to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and rehabilitation aimed at improving or maintaining independence.
  • Working with a caseload of patients with varying difficulties including complete health and social care needs; responding effectively to the changing needs of the patient caseload, managing the sometimes conflicting priorities of prevention of admission and discharge.
  • Assess and order equipment as identified by patient need and allocate work to OT assistant or care staff as necessary. Establishing communication networks with other team members, patients and other health and social care agencies, attending joint visits with other professionals as required.

As an Occupational Therapist, your responsibilities will vary. You will
