The role of Senior Community Nurse - Learning Disabilities at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust involves providing specialized nursing care for adults with complex learning disabilities. As a Band 6 nurse, the successful applicant will manage a caseload, conduct assessments, and develop treatment plans while promoting person-centered care that respects individual choice and well-being. The position requires collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team, supervision of staff and students, and participation in service planning and evaluation.

Candidates must possess a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle for travel across the county, as public transport is unsuitable for meeting service demands. The role also emphasises the need for skills in risk assessment, conflict resolution, and data analysis to support evidence-based practice, ultimately aiming to reduce health inequalities among those with learning disabilities. In return, the position offers generous leave, an NHS pension, professional development opportunities, and the chance to work within an innovative and supportive environment.
