As the Clinical Lead, the successful candidate will offer clinical leadership, supervision, and support to a multidisciplinary team comprising Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and therapy support workers. Additionally, they will serve as an expert resource within the wider therapy team, ensuring high-quality care for patients during their stay.
We have an opportunity to work as a Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist covering Maternity leave for 12 months. The post covers our General Surgical wards and our Oncology ward at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
The Therapy team includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy support workers including band 4s.
The post holder will provide specialist Occupational Therapy treatment to patients within our Surgical Wards and this may include complex patients such as amputees. The post holder will also work clinically on the Oncology ward, holding a complex caseload which may include Fast track patients and those with malignant spinal cord compression.
As Clinical Lead the post holder will be responsible for clinical leadership and support to the team in the form of appraisal and supervision. They will also act as an expert resource to the wider Therapy Team.
