The Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Pharmacist in Neurology (Band 8a) to join their pharmacy team at Kingston Hospital. This newly created role will focus on providing leadership in professional, governance, and financial aspects of medicines management within the Neurology Service. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated clinical pharmacist with a keen interest in neurology, responsible for coordinating and delivering treatments primarily for patients with multiple sclerosis while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote the safe and cost-effective use of therapies.

Key responsibilities will include leading the development of clinical pharmacy services for neurology, implementing strategies for timely drug switches to optimize cost savings, and providing specialist advice to medical and nursing staff on medications. The successful candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a commitment to fostering professional relationships within the pharmacy and neurology teams. While experience in neurology is preferred, it is not mandatory, as the Trust is committed to supporting the candidate's learning and development in this specialty.
