Duties
Serve as the senior advisor on all data platform and security-related matters, providing thought leadership and acting as the go-to expert for senior leadership.
Develop and enforce a comprehensive data security governance framework that meets and exceeds regulatory requirements.
Lead the partnership with the CISO and cybersecurity teams to design and implement state-of-the-art security measures, addressing emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
Mentor members of the Data Platforms team and provide pastoral care as necessary.
Accountabilities
The data services strategy, KPIs and reporting therein.
Ensuring that the wider team are adhering to the relevant Quality Framework and the GDS Technology Code of Practice.
Maintaining the skills competency framework and associated training & development plans. Mentoring and pastoral care of the team, including on job learning and training.
